The speaker drivers of the PS 165 F3E kit combine the best of Flax technology with the latest innovations from Focal, to deliver one of the most natural sounds. The TMD surround (Tuned Mass Damper) is integrated in the woofers and midrange speakers, to stabilize the surround and achieve better control, neutrality and linearity: the bass is even denser, Upper midrange performance is improved and harmonic distortion is reduced. Together, these speaker drivers produce precise, powerful sound without coloration.
The TAM tweeters with "M" profile and inverted dome included in the kit offer a larger beam angle and better sound definition without directionality. Thanks to their inclined mounting, they are easy to install in the vehicle. An audiophile crossover completes the kit and offers several setting options for the tweeters and midrange speakers. With its engraved aluminum basket and careful workmanship, PS 165 F3E combines style, Discretion and modernity in a first-class system.

THE FLAX CONE, EXPRESSIVE AND NATURAL This flax membrane has been manufactured exclusively in France by Focal since 2013. With their original design it is 100% focused on acoustic performance. This sandwich cone consists of a flax fiber core, which lies between two thin layers of glass fiber. Flax is a fiber with the unique ability to produce a very natural Reproduce sound without discoloration, with a rich reproduction in the midrange and clear bass attacks. Their lightness ensures high dynamics, while their rigidity supports the bass and ensures good damping, to provide a true-to-original listening experience. Flax fibers are twice as light as glass fibers because they are hollow. Their very low elasticity makes them ideal for increasing the flexural rigidity modulus of a sandwich structure.
